What is MASA, and why should I join?

MASA is a non - profit umbrella organization that acts as the liaison to the USS national organization for its member clubs.
In order to participate in USS races, or in the NY area Metro series, racers are required to be members of their local association.Racers in Northern New Jersey and Southern New York belong to the MidAltantic Speedskating Association of USS.  If your club is a member of MASA, then you are probably within the MASA regional territory. All skaters are now required to join USS for insurance reasons.
